I am able to get a great price for a daytime reception from 12 to 5. With a ceremony at 1130. The venue location is one hour away. How should I do the day off wedding planning? How much time goes into hair, makeup etc? Does your makeup artist/ hair dresser usually come to your hotel? Do you see them? I guess I am just worried about a daytime weddig so early and fitting it all in. To have an evening wedding would be at least $2000 more. Ceremony and venue are in one location.
Thanks
Re: Daytime wedding? Should I?
June 2012 Bride!
We were able to fit in everything we needed to do that day. Everyone raved about our wedding and liked the fact they still had their night to continue the partying. We liked it because we were able to go back to my parents house, hang out with some of our closer friends and family, and open gifts later on.
It’s a tough debate. Friday evening wedding, Saturday Day or Sunday. Ideally, I would love a Saturday evening wedding. Thank you all for your ideas and suggestions. What I have decided is Saturday Day is out. My fiancé rather would have an evening wedding. A Saturday day is doable, based on what I have heard but I think I would feel stressed trying to get it all done. The cost difference between a Friday night versus a Saturday night is 15 per person. I am looking at 100 guest list. Is Friday night that much of a discount? Is it over my budget, yes. Both Friday and Saturday night are. However, can I cut costs elsewhere to make up the difference?
Also, I'm much more relaxed about vendors because they don't book up nearly as quickly for Sunday weddings as they do for Friday or Saturday nights.
