Where are people registering?

Hi,

Where are people registering?

I started a registry with Bed Bath & Beyond in Fairfield.  If you register here, I highly suggest checking to see if you can register with Katelynn (she's the head of the department and trains all the other wedding consultants so she's very knowledgable).  Feel free to mention my referral (Lauren Koster).  In all fairness and to disclose, I would get a credit for referral (I'd greatly appreciate it since I'm on a tight budget).

I haven't really looked into any other places but wanted to find out other suggestions.

Thanks,
Lauren

  • We are doing Kohl's and BBB def.

Then picking Macy's or Crate & Barrel I think.

  • I have a secret registry at Pampered Chef that only my mom and aunt know about because my mom has a few friends that have had PC parties so she bought things for me.  We also registered at Crate and Barrel and Macy's.  We were going to register at AAA for our Hawaiian honeymoon but our TA never got back to us and my shower invitations are already printed so we decided to skip it.  We've already paid a big chunk of it anyway.

  • We created a registry through Amazon.com, and one at REI. I don't really expect much from the REI one.. right now we just have extremely expensive kayaks on it, I doubt people will get those.

Our registry is actually pretty small because we're hoping to get cash for the excursions on the honeymoon. I didn't want to create a honeymoon registry because I think those websites usually take a cut of the money, and I'd rather get all the money. =)
  • We are registered at Macy's and Amazon. So far, I have had no issues with either. Just had to keep an eye on the Macy's one for discontinued and out of stock items.

  • We did Target and BBB. We also have a honeymoon registry through Royal Caribbean. So far, no problems with any of them! Fingers crossed though, the shower is about 6 weeks away so I'm sure I'll start having issues with Targets!
  • I just started registering, which might be a bit premature for my October wedding, but I was really excited.  We are registered at Crate and barrel.  We are going to one of their registry events at Providence Place in February.  Hopefully nothing we register for will be discontinued by October.

  • We're registered at BBB, Pottery Barn & Williams Sonoma. We registered at BBB for all our appliances, PB for our dishes, towels and bedding, WS for our bakeware and other kitchen items.

  • We registered at Target, BBB and the Disney Honeymoon Registry. We didn't have a problem with any of the registries, except that Target didn't always have everything in stock online.

  • We did Macy's and Bed Bath and Beyond, and I'm really happy with both. Wide selection and both are very easy to update online. And both usually have coupons that guests can keep an eye out for.
  • Nice,  I didn't think about a honeymoon registry.  Thanks for all the ideas and tips!
  • Macy's and Crate & Barrel! We are going to the registry event at Crate and Barrel! I am beyond excited!

When you set up the registry they tell you there is a small fee. Then they give you the option for you or the guest to pay it

  • We registered at Macy's and BB&B and have had great experiences with both so far :)

  • We're doing BBB, Kohl's and Sears.

Started with BBB - and did all of the appliances there and then added Kohls because I love their Food Network dishes and everyday stuff.  However, I found that Kohls also give you 10% back in Kohl's Cash after your wedding for whatever your guests spend on items from your wedding.  I was excited about that!

We live in a condo but are buying a house in the next few months so we added Sears for a bunch of home tools and items we'll need (garden hose, rakes, shovels, etc).

Have loved them all so far!  The one trick I found very helpful (especially with BBB) was to go to the store and scan random items I knew we would need (picked any old blender, toaster, etc).  Then I went online to their registry and looked at all of the reviews for everything (and you can also check if items are available in stock in your local store).  So we changed a bunch of stuff based on the reviews.

  • We are registering tonight at Williams Sonoma mostly for their pots and pans...they have a stainless stell collection that my FMIL and FSIL both rave about.  Then we're registering at Macy's and maybe Pottery Barn.
  • We already did a registry on the Carnival site for our honeymoon and I think we are also going to register at Macy's.
