I went to a wedding there about 5 years in the middle of the summer. It was very hot and the ceremony was on site. Very pretty, but it was just so hot. They did a buffet and I didn't care for it. I would see what their sit-down options are. The buffet just wasn't organized and my cousin was 8 months pregnant and they won't let her get her food earlier and made her wait until the end. It is a beautiful venues, I would just not do a buffet.
You truly can't beat the location, and a friend who got married there said planning was very easy. However, there will be multiple weddings going on at the same time, and as a guest it can be a little chaotic on the ground. For instance, we went to a couple of wrong cocktail patios before we finally found the one we were supposed to be at! That said, it IS absolutely stunning.

Just to clarify, I used the knot to plan my wedding in 2006. I got divorced and haven't been on in ages. However, being this board was SO helpful during my planning I had to let you ladies know about the experience I had since some asked about this place. <div>I went to a wedding here this past Saturday, 9/1, and they only thing they have going for them is the location. I saw 2 other brides there as my friend was walking down the "asile". Where they set up the ceremony there is a flag pole with the American flag and Water's Edge flag. Also the cocktail hour is outside, but there wasn't enough lighting and you can't see. Food was over cooked and very small portions. Besides all the other little things they got wrong, there were wedding crashers as well. They threw punches and the police were called. I couldn't be less impressed than I was.</div>
I had my wedding there in April! I had great experiences with Water Edge but there were some little problems as well. PM me if you need more information.
