Makeup?

Hi CT Ladies - my engagement pictures are being done next wednesday and I have no idea what to do for hair and makeup. I was thinking of going to the MAC counter at my local Macy's, but I just dont want them to make me look like a drag queen. I LOVE MAC makeup and own a decent amount myself, but I would prefer to have it done professionally vs doing it myself since I want it to show in photos.

Do you ladies have any recommendations? I live in Milford, but we are having them done in Hartford. I'm willing to travel anywhere in between.

TIA

Re: Makeup?

  • For my engagement photos, I went to the MAC store at Westfarms. I just told them I wanted a natural look...and they did a fabulous job!

I'm having my photos done on Wednesday as well!  I'd suggest the person I'm using (she's also my hairdresser) but she doesn't have any more openings on wednesday.  A friend of mine used a place called 2 Spa Girls (I think that's the name) in north haven for her boudoir photos and loved how her makeup came out for that.
  • I just went to Ulta in North Haven for mine, and I felt like they did a really good job.  I asked for very natural and it's probably the only time I've ever gotten makeup done where they've actually listened and I didn't end up wiping half of it off afterwards!
