Maui reviews wanted please

Fi and I are planning on going to Maui for the honeymoon. We're looking for something all inclusive but I recently found online that there are no such options in Maui. Is this true? Ideally we're looking for an adult only resort close to the beach that has lots of activities. I'm open to any and all suggestions. Thanks!

  • There aren't any AI's on Hawaii, the only "adults only" places I've seen are B&Bs. So you could find one in west Maui that is close to activities, but I don't know of any resort that fits your description.

  • Hi!! A honeymoon in Maui will be fabulous!! We actually just got married there two weeks ago!!!There are definitely no all inclusives in Maui and I don't think any adults only hotels either, but there are some amazing places to stay!! We stayed at the Hyatt Kanapali which was absolutely incredible and had a very fun young vibe to it!They have two pools one for families and one for adults divided by a cave bar which hid and seperated each pool so we never really saw any kids around. The Hyatt has a great location right at the end on the Kanapali hotel strip so close enough to the restaurants and shops but far away enough on the less crowded end of the beach! I've also heard the Walea area is beautiful but very expensive, we looked into it but the prices were almost double what we paid! Kihei is supposed to be a great central area with bars and shops and lots of condos if you go that route! Hope this helps a little! Good luck!!

  • Unfortunately I do not think there are any AI in Maui or in Hawaii at all.  We honeymooned in Hawaii and we stayed on Maui for one of the weeks we were there.  We had a timeshare and stayed on S. Kihei.  There are many many hotels that are on Kihei that I would recommend looking at.  Lahaina is also a very nice area as well.  Maui is such an amazing time, no matter where you decide to stay on the island your trip will be amazing! We already want to go back! Good luck and have an amazing time!!
