Anguilla, Aruba, Barbados or Bermuda???

Help!  My wedding date is Oct. 22nd, and my FI and I are having the hardest time trying to decide on a honeymoon spot!  I'd always wanted to do the Caribbean for my HM, but when we first set our date we ruled it out because of hurrican season.  After talking to a few travel agents we've changed our minds and have decided to consider it after all, but we can't decide where to go.  Anguilla, Aruba and Barbados were all suggested to us by different TAs as less risky places to go that time of year.  My FBIL suggested Bermuda because that's where he went on his honeymoon around the same time of year. 

My FI and I have read through what seems like every travel book and website there is out there, but nothing has set one island apart from the others...so I need knottie help!  Which would you recommend, and why?

Do not go to Bermuda in October, you wont be enjoying the beaches/swimming, it gets real cold there! My uncle lives there and feels so bad for people coming off the planes with snorkel stuff and its too cold to swim.  If you go another time, go to The Reefs! Its fabulous!    http://www.thereefs.com/ I would say its the nicest island I've ever been too.

I did Aruba for my honeymoon, we stayed at the RIU. The weather would be great there and if you are a beach person its great. But there isnt much beyond the beach.

I cant say too much about Anguilla or Barbados, but Barbados does not have a great reputation. People are not so friendly.

If you need another choice, the Turks and Caicos are gorgeous! And my sister honeymooned at Sandals in Negril and got the royal treatment, her pics were to die for!  Good luck!

I totally disagree about Barbados, it is my most favorite of all the caribbean island, but it is an expensive island.  It is a very big foodie island and eating out cost a lot- we stayed at the Crane and it is gorgeous.

I also like Aruba a lot- I haven't been to Anguilla yet.

I would choose either Barbados or Aruba! Both are beautiful!

Bermuda is the most gorgeous island ever, probably the nicest over all but the weather isnt nice in October, too cold!  Aruba isnt pretty per say, the beaches are great, and the temp is great year round, but there isnt much to do in Aruba but the beach. The downtown is a shopping mall. We didnt like the lack of culture or the fact that all beaches are public. (thieves) Restaurants are super expensive.

I aboslutely LOVE Bermuda - just be ready to pay a lot to stay/eat on the island.  I've only ever cruised there and would recommend it - although October might not be the greatest time...since the departing ports are mostly in the Northeast (and chillier)!

I have been to Aruba and I LOVED it!  We just went for a regular vacation and stayed in the Westin.  The beaches are beautiful, the weather was great, and there is a ton of variety when it comes to food. It is pretty Americanized there so there were days we didn't want to spend alot for lunch or wanted a quick bite and were able to hit the Mcdonalds and Wendys down the road.

We did a booze cruise one night and an island tour one day and loved it.  It was the perfect mix of relaxation and activity for us.  If we didn't want to try someplace we have never been it would be our top honeymoon choice.

Thanks for all of your help ladies!  We are definitely leaning towards Aruba now, and are just trying to decide on a hotel.  :-)
