Hey chicas -

I was laid off on Friday after working for the company for 8 years.

I'm currently looking for nanny/babysitting jobs.

I'm familiar with sittercity and gonannies websites, but would also appreciate any leads you may have.

This frikkin blows.  I'm currently out of town with H as he's on a business trip and it made sense for me to take a little break anyway.

Sorry to hear that Alexia! Make sure to do your unemployment benefit paperwork (online) ASAP, as there is a short waiting period! It will all work out I spend 4 1/2months unemployed doing some side things, and then a job fell in my lap.

My best friend is actually on her last few weeks of maternity leave and is getting ready to start a nanny search.  I think she's looking for someone 2-3 days per week, 8 to 5ish ... I'd be happy to forward her your contact info if you'd like

I am a full-time nanny now, and this is my 3rd nanny position that I have found via craigslist. I started out always looking just on sittercity, care, nanny agencies, etc etc...but for whatever reason I have had better luck with craigslist...maybe it's just not so over-saturated with job seekers?

Just wanted to throw that in there! I don't know anyone right now, but I spend alot of time around other nannies and parents so I'll see if I can find any leads for you!

Oh, wow, Alexia. I'm really, really sorry to hear that I don't know of any nanny seekers right now but I just wanted to let you know you've got my prayers for a short employment wait.
