I would love some recommendations outside of the small list The Knot provides of great places to honeymoon in September.
We are looking for beautiful beaches that are outside (but not incredibly distant from - ie Vietnam, Australia) the U.S.
Please share your advice! Thanks ladies.
Re: Honeymoon in September
And if you're looking for the Caribbean, I know my future brother-in-law and his wife went from Baltimore to Turks and Caicos very easily.
I would like to leave the U.S. if possible. Sorry I didn't mention that!
Thanks for the question!
The most important thing is beautiful beaches to relax on with lovely water.
We also are foodies and love exploring and are open to a bit of adventure (be it hiking, watersports, zip lining or even shopping).

Where is Mexico did you go?
-Cabo San Lucas, Mexico
-Puerto Vallarta, Mexico
-Aruba
-Bonaire
-Curacao
The last three recommendations are in the Caribbean, but are outside of the traditional hurricane belt, so they are usually a safe option.

[QUOTE]So I am considering Brazil, Greece, Curacao, Puerto Rico, Bonaire, Belize and St Thomas - any opinions on these locations for a September Honeymoon?

Of these, my top choices would be Greece, Curaco, and Bonaire. The weather in Greece would be wonderful in September but flying to Greece will probably be expensive. Puerto Rico, Belize, and St Thomas are in the hurricane zone, so if you are still wanting to avoid that, those options are out. Brazil has the opposite seasons of the US, so depending on when you went in September, it would be the end of their winter/beginning of spring although many areas in Brazil, like Rio are still relatively warm even during the winter months. Here is some information on the weather in Brazil.
