Check!

Invitations are in the mail!!!! 3 weeks of school left and then wedding details are all I have to worry about!
I found out last monday what dietetic program I am going to- I got Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. So this past weekend FI and I went to Dallas and found an apartment in Addison (a small suburb of Dallas). I'm so excited. Pretty much everything big is checked off!

Maggie: Great!!! I'm nervous because I don't really know Dallas at all, FI kinda does but not really. The town of Addison is so cute! Our apartment is on the north edge of Addison (the apartment is called Camden Addison) but its still like 5 min from like the center of Addison. If you have any helpful hints or places to go or not to go I would love your input!!!

My list of favorite places in Dallas could be very long!!  As I am sure you have already figured out, there is amazing shopping and a ton of great restaurants there.  Addison has a pretty good Oktoberfest and Taste of Addison is fun too.

Addison is in the North Dallas area and that whole area for the most part, is pretty safe.  I would be careful in East Dallas, as well as South Dallas.  There tends to be quite a bit of crime in both those areas.

For good Tex-Mex I would recommend Pappasito's in Richardson and Patrizio's has great Italian.  The Flying Saucer is a laid back bar if you like trying a variety of beers.

I could go on and on, but feel free to send me a PM if you have any questions!  I grew up in Plano and if I don't know the answer, I probably know someone that does. :)

Thank you so much!!!! We were having a hard time deciding between living in Plano or Addison. We ended up in Addison because the complex had a unit available and none of the apts in Plano had ones for sure yet.
We went to Blue Goose Cantina when we were there and it was so good! The margaritas were fab too!
I have heard great things about Papasitos, Papadeauxs, and Papa Brothers.
I'm sure I'll have questions when we get closer to moving!

You are welcome!  Oh and you should definitely try out Cafe Brazil for an amazing breakfast and La Madeleine is fantastic too!  Like I said, great restaurants...I think I need to take a trip there soon!

Huge Congrats!! I LOVE Dallas and miss living there.  Addison is a GREAT part of Dallas to live in.  There is so much to do and see in the whole city so I'm sure you will like it there very much.  If you get a chance, try the Rat Toes at Razzoo's.  Sounds bad I know but they are AWESOME! Everyone's comments were dead on. I lived in Plano and Allen so next to those, Addison is a great location.  One thing you probably learn about Texas and Texans - as they say "everything is bigger in Texas" - even the personalities.  Texans are a special type of people!  They are really proud of their state.  Enjoy and good luck!
