Okay, this probably seems really silly, and I'm not sure how much of a saving it is, but I thought I'd post them in case someone else could use the idea!
I really wanted personalized napkins, but I figured I needed about 400 or so, and I really didn't want to pay $15 to $20 for a 50-pack for a total of $120 to $160 for something people will immedialy throw away. So, I used a Sizzix embosser and folder that I got on sale at Michael's for $7 each, napkins in my colors from Party City for $3 per 50 ($24), and I bought a long-handled embosser from Southwest Rubber Stamp Company online with our married monogram for $50 for a total of $88. Plus, I'm using the embosser on the Thank You Notes and envelopes to continue my monogram theme, and I'll likely use it continuing in married life. This probably will give you more savings if you need more napkins and have a larger guest list, or if you already have an embosser/folder.
All I had to do was run the napkin through the hand-crank embosser in the floral folder, then stamp it with the embosser. It took me about three hours to do all of them, with a friend helping for about an hour of that.
