bugs?

OK, so how do we deal with bugs? LOL I'm hoping that in October we will not need to deal with it so much, but the bridal shower is in 2 weeks and is outdoors. We were just at the site yesterday and FLIES! yuk! Does that Yard Guard stuff work-or any other solutions?

How early in the day is it? Can you get those candle-insect repellents and place them lighted at each table?

Flies aren't usually repelled by the normal OFF.  Ask your site if they allow you to spray or if they will do it the day before.  Citronella flowers work best over the candles, etc and if you can have a fan blowing lightly that will keep them down.

I heard that if you have a a bucket filled with dry ice near by the venue hang out place that bugs will go to the dry ice and not the guests. Never tried it, but worth a shot maybe?

more info. on the dry ice:One thing that you can try is to place a block of dry ice in the opposite side of the yard. The carbon dioxide of the dry ice will attract the bugs and allowing you to get rid of them from the party area. A bug zapper can have the same effect as well.

we are going to have spray near the edge of the beach where our guests are leaving their shoes....near the basket.
