Hey there! I am having my ceremony on a beach in CT. I don't expect it to be too loud (the water is Long Island Sound and the waves aren't outrageous like they would be in Rhode Island or something). I have about 100 guests. I don't want to have to yell at my groom so that everyone can hear, but I'm also not sure how workable it would be to have a mic out there.
Any of you have experience with this?

i would say take a trip out there have someone in back of where the last row of guests be sitting and say stuff see if they can hear without straining

Is this a common place to get married? Maybe you could search out other brides and see what their experiences were like.

For 100 guests you will definitely need a mic if you want to be heard. If there is a power source nearby it should be quite simple and whoever you hire for your sound should be able to accommodate you. There are still options of battery powered speakers and wireless mics if no power source is available.

Why can't you just use a wireless mic?

Daughter just got married on beach. Wireless mic worked fine.
