Biltmore Review

Ok so this is loooong overdue but it is finally up in my bio. I am sorry if I ramble, but I wrote this mostly right after my wedding when I was still really unhappy and I finished it today. I would still stay there b/c the hotel is gorgeous and it is pretty much the closest resort to Deering but I would have been more proactive about a few things that I really shouldnt have had to be more on top of given the rating of this hotel..... but it is what it is.

    WOW! I just read that and I"m pretty appalled! I mean, it's the friggin Biltmore! You'd expect so much more from them.Ultimately I'm glad they tried to rectify the situation and you didn't let it ruin your day! Thanks for sharing!

    I'm surprised they at least didn't offer you a different room!? I've also stayed at the Biltmore and LOVE it... but seriously... I'd be livid too!

    Thats appalling! Customer service speaks volumes and when its bad, it makes everything worse. It is a gorgeous hotel, but poor service doesn't make up for that. A bride shouldnt have to worry about those things on her wedding day. Sorry you had to go through that, but thank you for your honest review.

    honestly, it was a small blip in an amazing weekend. BUT it did suck.

    WOW... my mouth is still on the floor. WOW.. THe BILTMOre... I still cant believe how calm, cool, and collective, NOT to mention BEAUTIFUL you look in ALL of your pictures.None of your pictures look like you had a worry on your mind.Thanks for sharing

    OMG!!!!! I have been waiting for this review. I am in total shock. I could not believe what I was reading. I know stuff can happen, but that was ridiculous. I can't believe how cool you remained. Unreal.

    Wow how nutters was that?  I am so glad I had a completely different experience with them.  How crazy though that they would mess so much up with one person!

    Vicki-Thanks so much for sharing this.  I work in the hotel industry and the service you received (or lack of service) was TOTALLY unacceptable.  The most unbelievable part was that after everything was they tried to charge you for the glasses!!!  We are getting married in Coral Gables and we considered the Biltmore as a place to have our reception.  To be honest, for the kind of hotel that it is and the prices they charge, I thought the hotel itself looked a little run down.  The service we received was lower than what I expected and we moved on.Now more than ever hotels need to hold on to the customers they have because everyone is looking for a deal.  Treating you the way they did, and they way the other guests were treated is not the way to do that.  I'm sorry that happened but you were right to let it roll of your back so you could enjoy your wedding!

    how many times does the room need to flood before they offer to move you - sheesh that is awful!

    WOW!!  You know, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that they should have offered to move you to another room with hot water and no leaky windows.  Duh!!  You're absolutely right on the universal discount that should have been offered to all guests without hot water - that also seems pretty obvious.  And the valet charges!!!!  OMG, you're a much better person than I am.  I would have never been able to stay that calm.

    OMG Vicki that is just sad! I would expect more from them...i'm having second thoughts myself in staying there :/ My sister stayed got dressed there and stayed there for her wedding 4 years ago and they had wedding gift $$$ stolen from my brother in law (my sisters husbands) Jacket and when they tried to talk to the manager they pretty much said there was nothing they could do. i've heard some pretty crappy reviews from people regarding the biltmore . It's a shame because the hotel is beautiful.
