My MOH got married at the Southernmost Beach Resort..... well, actually a church first and the reception was under a tent on the beach!

If she wants to have the ceremony on the beach, Fort Zachary Taylor can hold 200 people. As far as Resorts, I don't know what she's already looked into, but The Ocean Key Resort can accommodate 200 people on their Sunset Pier (thats where I'm having mine!) The Westin, The Hyatt, Southernmost Resorts, Parrot Key Resort, Casa Marina Resort(very beautiful property), The Reach Resort just to name a few. I spent a whole weekend down there going from hotel to hotel getting the info....what a mission :)

You're very welcome! Always happy to help! And time definitely goes by a lot faster when your getting married. I remember being 8 months away and thinking it'll take forever. Now I'm less then 4 months WoW!If she has anymore questions, let me know :)

I will - thank you!! She's nervous to have it in Key West because she's worried people won't come, but I keep telling her that the people that matter WILL come - besides, who doesn't love Key West??? :):)

Thats so funny! I thought the same thing!Turns out, everyone wants to go to Key West. Its like having  destination wedding without going overseas. We're lucky to have a little bit of the caribbean in Florida. She'll be amazed at who actually wants to go :)

I did some heavy duty headcount research before I finally picked KW for my wedding and The Hyatt CANNOT accomodate 200 people. They can barely accomodate 100. Beachside Resort can accomodate 200 easily! Their ballroom was specifically designed to be opened up for such large parties and they have a rather sizeable private beach for the ceremony. The Casa Marina has 2 ballrooms, one is slightly larger than the other but I personally know of a 160 person wedding that was held there. The Westin can probably pull it off if you have the reception on the pier but I don't know where you would be able to have the ceremony. The Ocean Key pier can definitely accomodate that many people for a reception, but again, their ceremony location could not. The Reach Resort can accomodate 200 people for the reception and you have the optionof the gazebo or the beach for the ceremony. The Southernmost Resort can't accomodate that many people. They have the ceremony and the reception on the same beach. As for using Ft Zachary for the ceremony, be advised that you will be paying between $300 & $500 dollars just to use the beach and that you will still have to bring in chairs and everything else. Also, it is NOT going to be private.

I am getting married at the Hyatt Key West next year, but it is def. too small - even for my wedding which should be interesting. Lol.The Casa Marina is beautiful and can prob. hold that many people, but they nickle and dime you to an extent I have never heard of. If she has an unlimited budget, I would go with the Casa Marina. If the budget is an issue, I would recommend the Beachside Marriott. Beautiful hotel rooms (although you can hear your neighbors toilet and shower) and they have a nice small and quiet beach. Not sure if the beach area can fit 200, but the ballroom def. can.
