Ok local ladies, I need some input. I'm trying to get a general idea of what is normal pricing for a standard 3 tier, wedding cake. Who are you using, is your design fancy and how much are you paying? I know a lady who is great and bakes from her home and last year she made a huge cake for a baby shower I threw my friend and it was the same size but much more detailed then the cake I'm asking for. She quoted me $12 per slice. This just seems a little ridiculous.. I feel like the price is being inflated b/c its for a wedding. Any suggestions?

Our cake is included in our package through the venue so i'm no help.

Yeah, our cake is through Disney and its $10.00 per person. Inflated I agree, but I don't really have another choice. Tried to go with a cheaper design, Fiance wasn't having it. Here is a pic of what we're getting for it though (it will be a little less intense)

I got a brief quote based on a picture I emailed from Divine Delicacies ... based on the cake i showed them, buttercream is $3.75 and fondant is $5.75 per person. Their prices are based on vanilla rum cake as the flavor ... other flavor/filling is only $0.50 to $1.00 per person additional. I guess depending on how big of a guest list you are planning on having would depend on the price of the cake. I worked mine out to be just over $500 for 50-60 people. They are the ones that we really want, but I havent gotten a quote from other places, so this is the only information i have. they were super quick at responding too to my emails.

I'm paying $450 for a fancy three tiered cake for 60 guests. We are having two flavors (red velvet and guava). We had a tasting and the cakes were delicious. Her name is Cynthia from E&M Creations.

I'm using Johnson's Custom Cakes and they charge $4.50 a slice... I just had my tasting and it was very yummy! Good luck
