Traditions?!

After looking at my check-list, I have to list all of the cultural traditions I'd like to use...after going to my cousin's wedding (he married an Indian woman) our traditions seem so insignificant.

I'm catholic/hispanic and being married in church...what traditions are you incorporating?

I'm doing our unity candle...other than that..i'm clueless.

lol, geeze - i feel so useless

Re: Traditions?!

  • I'm a Catholic bride but I'm not getting married in the Church. The only tradition we're doing is a sand ceremony!

The mantilla is a good option. You could also place a bouquet at Mary's feet during your service-- I've seen that done multiple times in Catholic weddings.

  • I'm Catholic and I'm doing the arras, mantilla, unity candle, and we are having family members do some readings.
