RSVP Vent

The RSVP deadline I gave my guests is October 1st.

Out of the 196 people we've invited, I only have RSVPs for 128 (some of which never even sent me RSVPs, I just know they are coming because they are immediate family).

This means I better be getting a lot of little envelopes in the mail this week. What is so difficult about RSVP-ing? If you need a hotel room, shouldn't you already know if you are coming or not?

Yea this is one of the most aggravating things I have come across. All but one family has RSVPed. My deadline was the 25th of September and my parents keep calling them (since it's on my side) and they keep giving the run around. They even had the balls to say that they might not come or show up at the last minute. I told my mom that this is not a backyard bbq wedding, that's it's formal and I expect that damn RSVP back or they are off my list. They have until the end of today to say yes or no. I won't except maybe.

I hope your guest get their crap together and send in their RSVPs!

im on the same boat! i sent my invites over a month ago and the rsvp date is this sunday coming up and i still need 50 more people to rsvp!!! how IRRITATING! im fuming. its really rude for people to take so long, either your coming or your not make a decision.

I'm guilty of being a non-rsvp-er at times. I always feel REALLY badly about it, but it's just so hard for me to keep track of those silly little rsvp cards. If you don't think that it would be too rude, maybe go ahead and send out reminder emails to your friends/family. I know that for me, a reminder email would be very helpful!

My deadline past already and we have about 10 couples outstanding....2 couples are still undecided....how do you NOT know if you are getting on a PLANE in 13 days? I'm dumbfounded by this....

I had that problem. I had family members email the people who didnt RSVP and that seemed to help. Theres 2 people that I never heard from but I assume they arent coming. Im not going to chase them down. They also update their every move on facebook so I will see if they are planning a trip to SoFlo.

    At least I'm not alone...?

Maybe I'll send out an email, even though that's ANOTHER thing I'd have to add to my To-Do list.

You are NOT alone, by any means! My deadline is also Oct. 1st. I've gotten back 7.. count them... 7 RSVP cards... 4 of which are from unknown people because they can't seem to remember to put a return adress or a name on them.  Stupidly, I didn't mark them in any way.

I've had 2 people reply online and some told me in person. Out of 130 invited, I have 28 RSVP'd. Freaking people!! And I still got crap on the etiquette board for not wanting to put stamps on the return envelope and adding a phone number/website. I would have wasted how much on stamps?

I see me calling/email people as well. Trust me, you are not alone in this. It's frustrating.

It is so aggravating people do that. I know I said well if people dont RSVP they dont come lol. Seriously you give them about 6-8 weeks to figure out if they want to come or not. I did follow up with the people and if I didnt hear from them or anything I said oh well their loss. Good luck ladies!!!
