I'm feeling so overwhelmed because I'm such a control freak..my OCD isn't helping my daily thought process...and me wedding is 7 months away, and I haven't lost any weight...I just want to cry

I'm fearing the time when I move in with my FI. My only roommates have been girls and it will be the first time living with my FI. I know we will work together to overcome whatever differences we may encounter but it still makes me nervous.  Ontop of that I am having a rough time dealing with moving away far from my family. I can't help but to tear up every time I think about it. At least FI is aware of this and understands.

I have been having nightmares about the wedding just about every night for the last two weeks. I know that it is most likely because I have been obsessing over the wedding. Also, I have been avoiding dress shopping again because I've gained weight and I don't want to try on dresses again until I have lost weight.

I hear ya, thebtflbride,my OCD has kicked in lately.. I feel like I'm obsessing over little things because I want to be on top of everything.. and I tried on my gown for the first time sinceI got in in early Dec. (it's been in my closet from David's Bridal) and was so hard for me to zip it up (not the easiest thing to do when you're by yourself to begin with).  When I finally got it up, everything was still good EXCEPT my chest and back looked lke I was trying to squeeze into a smaller size and in Dec. it fit perfect :-(  I'm sure they can just let the dress out a little, but I'm so disappointed.

I understand how you feel.  I'm joining my future husband in Atlanta after our wedding.  I like ATL a lot, but it's so hard leaving my family and the place where I grew up.  Having lots of anxiety about it.  I'm sorry you're going through this, too.

Your post gave me some comfort to know I'm not the only one. We are actually considering moving away from South Florida to ATL. I like it too but if we do move....it's going to be hard not to get home sick. We wouldn't have any family much less any friends there.

I had the opposite of you girls! I moved to South Florida from Atlanta to be with my FI.  It is tough, and you will miss your friends and family like crazy.  The upside is it's a new adventure for FI and I and our life together.  I feel blessed that I have his family here and his friends, but they are not your own so it just takes longer to feel comfortable.  Luckily flights to and from the ATL and FLL are easy, fast and usually affordable.  I wish you both the best of luck in Atlanta and if you have ANY questions about restaurants, neighborhoods, things to do please message me anytime.  It is very different from S. FLA but you will love it!!!

The move to ATL is not set in stone just yet but FI really wants to leave Miami for a while. We are actually considering taking a trip to visit it soon and see if we like it. Our wedding was pushed back til late next year so I think we will be taking several trips to check it out.
