hair/make-up for engagement photos

So my fiance and I are taking our engagement photos this Sunday (yay!) and I was just curious what everyone did for their hair and make up. DId you have it done or do it yourself? Any tips?

I'm getting my make up done, but I'm probably just going to do my hair myself.

I did my own makeup for our e-session (minus the fake eyelashes) and had my friend do my hair and put on the lashes for me.

Target has some inexpensive products if you are good with doing your own makeup. Let me know if you would like to know what products I used.

Words of advice though: don't use shiny eyeshadow cause it will make you look like you're sweating. Stay away from glitter too. Complement what you've got, otherwise it will look awkward if you go too bold.

I just did my own. I didn't want to be too overdone because our e photos were more casual/playful. Straightened my hair and put on some eyeshadow and mascara.

thanks for the respones everyone. i went back and forth a lot on whether to have it done or not. i ended up booking an appoinment for my hair, and i'm going to do my own make up

I had my hair & make-up done.  I tested out the make-up artist that I will most definitely be using for our wedding.  It was a great way to see how her makeup job will photograph.  As for the hair, I will be using clip in extensions so I had my hair done to test out the extensions.  Looked great and for me, well worth the $ to have both done.
