where to get ribbon?

Hi ladies - I am sure this has been asked a million times, but I went through a couple pf pages of posts and couldn't find anything, so I am hoping to tap your expertise.  Does anyone know some retailers that sell cheap ribbon (wholesale or retail)?  I went to Moskatels and Craft Depot this past weekend and didn'd find what I was looking for (or there was very low quantity), so I need some new leads.I am looking for a mossy/olive colored double sided satin in various widths.  Any help you ladies can provide would be SO appreciated.  TIA!!Billie

Fabric Barn in Long Beach is fantastic and THE place for ribbon. They have so many options it's insane! Here is a link to their website: http://www.fabricbarn.com/They don't take orders online. They are instore only but totally worth it. Good luck!

    I purchased 5/8" thick double-faced satin - 100 yds for 10 bucks. Seriously you can't beat that.

fabric barn is super cheap, but last time I went they didn't have that great of a selection in double sided satin.  If they don't have what you need you can also try Papermart.  You can order online, but they also have a warehouse (off the 710) where you can pick up your order.

Just a hint, If you don't see what you need in fabric barn, ask! I need a bunch of raspberry 1" satin ribbon but they only had one roll out. I asked and she went to the back and got me a bunch.

I didn't know about Fabric Barn.  I bought my ribbon in downtown on Maple St - a roll (100yds)  of 7/8 black satin for $6.  Your color may be a little harder to find though.

Unfortunately I gave up looking for nice ribbon in Los Angeles.  I was looking for a "fancy/glam" looking wired ribbon for our cake in purple, but after searching the local stores I couldn't find what I was looking for.  Right now I am out visiting my FI and there is a chain craft store here that is called Hobby Lobby, that is where I found my ribbon.  I know they are not out in Los Angeles, but if any of you do have to leave the state on a trip and go to the midwest before your wedding, the store is worth a stop.  I found the type of ribbon I was looking for there.  I couldn't find exactly the color I was looking for, but I was able to find it in a dark red which is another of my wedding colors.  I found this really pretty iridescent paisley ribbon with gold trim and it was on sale too.I had to stop myself from buying glass centerpiece holders at this place because it is just too early to do that for my April wedding.
