Officiant Help!

My fiance and I do not live in California - but he grew up in LA area and we are planning on getting married on Malibu beach in May.  His mother's pastor was going to do our wedding, but we just got word they are having to move in April.

As you can imagine "interviewing" officiants over the phone is exhausting.  Any ideas/thoughts from my LA girls?

    Will any of your close family/friends be attending, or is it just the two of you?

    We had our friend become ordained through the Universal Life Ministry and he performed our ceremony.  It was free, and one of the best decisions we could have made when it came to the ceremony aspects of the wedding day.  We felt totally at ease because we knew him so well!  It was a very easy process too (being the super controlling person I was then, I ordained myself on the site to make sure it would be easy for him!).
