Vent: GRRR Groomsperson is MIA

So not to be a drama queen,  I've been really hands off with my FI about reigning in his groomsmen, however I did make it very clear on our wedding website that the deadline to get fitted for one's tux was March 27th and if they haven't gotten measured by then they darn well better get measured soon. 

One groomsperson in particular has been MIA.  Now to be fair, he works an evening shift.  I have had my FI call him, and now I have gone as far as speaking to his mother(who is a guest at our wedding), to try to cajole him into gettinng measured.  According to her, he did.  But I get a call today from Friar Tux saying he didn't :(

And they told me "he better darn well better get measured by this weekend or we won't have a tux for him . . ."

I have other routes yet to take, like talking to his grandma, who is our organist or my boss, who's his uncle and doing the blessing at our reception, but I'd prefer to avoid going there.

I just hope the same way Luke heard "Use the Force" this guy wakes up in the middle of the night hearing " Get measured for your tux! Do it while there is still time!"

    Sorry for your frustration. :( I had to make my fiance bug his guys to get measured. I also made the deadline really early, in case they procrastinated. Two of them went on the last day.

    I hope he goes soon and everything ends up okay.

    Okay so this is what I put in the Groomsmen attire section of my wedding website:

    "UPDATE: As of April 5, 2010.  One of you still has not submitted their measurements.  Remember in Star Wars where Obi-wan tells Luke:  'Run, Luke run!'?  Well, old Obi-wan is about to open a can of major Force-Woopass if you don't run to the nearest Friar Tux and get yourself measured."

    I'm tempted to put a picture of Darth Vader on there saying how the bride is "most displeased with your current lack of progress . . " Yes, I am a dork.  Everyone in the wedding party is okay with it though :)

    Wow! Your wedding is coming up very soon.  This is hard because he's a grown man so you can't really FORCE him to get fitted.  This is where some groomsmen can be super annoying. Good luck and hopefully he'll wake up, be considerate and think about how he'd feel if this was his wedding day.

    lol! I love the update you posted on your site. Have your FI text him asking him to see your site. Or send him an email with a link to your site, so he can read it. If he still doesn't get the point, knock on his door first thing and walk his butt over to Friars Tux. Uh, men! hehe...

    BTW...how exciting that your wedding day is coming up!

    Right now he has until Sunday to get measured otherwise his tux won't be availble.

    If I don't get measurements for him by Thursday.  I am putting up a picture of Darth Vader is going up along with a threat of demotion to Flower Girl.
