Hair/Makeup/Nails Recommendation in L.A.

Hi ladies, anyone have a good place to recommend? I've looked at the vendors on this site, but a personal recommendation always carries more weight. :-) Looking for mani/pedi, hair & makeup salon for me and my mom the day before THE day in March. :-)

Thanks in advance!
Maria

Hi Maria - Can you tell us where you're going to be? L.A. is huge - did you want your hair done on location or at the salon? If it's a salon, I highly recommend Umberto's in Beverly Hills - while they might cost more than other places, they appear to be very consistent with their clients. I'd also recommend having your nails done the morning before the wedding so you look fresh for dress rehearsal dinner and you get it out of the way for the big day :)

My BMs and I did a nail/spa day at Burke Williams the day before the wedding. They have multiple locations in the LA area. Bonus: if you get there early you can use the jacuzzi.

Picture Perfect Hair and Makeup do on location stuff, and they offer $50 off your trial appointment. I saw and signed up for their emails at a bridal show, and they did a good job.

Thanks so much for the personal recommendations! I will call Umberto's, Burke Williams and Picture Perfect first thing next week! My fiance lives in Hollywood and the wedding is in Rancho Palos Verdes (I know, traffic-wife, a HUGE time suck!) I'm getting a hotel room for me and my mom off of Wilshire so we'll be pretty centrally located for our day of pampering. Ceremony at 6pm so should be plenty of time, and will definitely do the nails the day before for rehearsal dinner.

Thanks so much sfchick, msmerymac and LittleMiss Bride. Huge help, I appreciate it. :)

     Hi Maria,
I highly recommend you to check out this new professional make up artist. I have used her for many special events, including my wedding. She also works with high end clients and TV. The website is www.159red.com
    Good luck,
