Latino Weddings

What spanish songs are you playing?

I'm trying to compile our playlist together and it's a little lopsided with not enough Spanish songs. It's going to be a 50/50 wedding with my family being the crazy Mexican side so I definitely want to get them on the floor too.

Thanks in advance!

We just put together a huge songlist for our wedding.  And, what we did was went thru each of our itunes and compiled a list from that.  That is what I would suggest, so that they are songs you guys actually like and listen to!  GL

Ours is going to be mostly spanish. 1st dance: Franco De Vita 'Tu de que vas' and our last song will be Joan Sebastian 'Me gustas'.

Going to play cumbias (lots of Fito Olivares and Tgrillos) and Norteño (invasores) and will add reggaeton too (don omar, wisin/yandel) and 1 or 2 salsa (elvis crespo and marc anthony) in there...

I'm letting my FMIL and my Latina BMs handle that part of the playlist. At most of my FIs family functions, there is a lot of salsa and cumbia. And some reggeton for the young'uns.

I'm currently working on my playlist and like you I want to have 50/50 musical selections but I've decided to try and play top 40 songs and pick some throw back salsa's and merengues to satify my older Latino family members

I think we might ask the DJ to play some salsa and some old school cumbias for my tias and tios to dance to.

a lot of current popular spanish singers are crossing over like Pitbull and Shakira...you should try to incorporate those, plus they get people moving! I'm definitely gonna have songs from them, but also Mana and Enanitos Verdes woooo
