Just Engaged and Proposals

Re: SOS!

  • There are many, many couples who plan weddings in 8 months (or even less.) Your time-line is completely manageable.

While it's true that someone needs to "take charge" of planning, there's no need to stress about it. Figure out a budget with whomever is paying, then sit down with your FI and discuss what the two of you really want your wedding to look like/feel like, and what things are most important to you (photographer, caterer, venue, etc.). Once you know these components, everything will begin to fall into place. Best of luck in your planning! :)

  • That should be plenty of time & you can make almost any budget work. Just figure out budget, venue, & date first. The Knot checklist has extra stuff, so just don't worry if it freaks you out (most are freaked out by it.)

  • You can totally plan a wedding by April of next year.  Just remember, don't sweat the small stuff.  If it doesn't physically stop you and your FI from becoming husband and wife then it's not worth stressing over.

  • Time is plenty to plan a wedding for next April. One by one, not hurry :-)
