Just Engaged*** Is it too early to start planning a 2013 wedding?

I think you could def get going with planning. My sis is getting married in March 2013 and she has had her venue booked for a few months already, things book up fast in NY though... She has her photographer already also... But she waitedon the other stuff and is just starting now.... I'm getting married in august 2012 and I only have had a year to plan.... I wish I could have started earlier! I say go for it!

plan..no. not at all, our venue was booked 18 months in advance and we didnt even get the date we wanted.. so once you find a venue you like id say book it.
as for picking wedding party, flowers, attire etc..not yet.
Just take care of the big decisions - venue, photographer, guest list and budget are the first things in line to decide.

Mine is September 2013 and all I'm doing is finding a venue. We get an early jump on venue dates. Gotta consider, most weddings take place on a Saturday, how many Saturdays are there in the month that you want, and how many brides in your area want that same Saturday?

Definitely go ahead and start with Venue and Budget; then relax and take your time with everything else. I've been engaged for a year already and we're just now jumping on it, but I've had a lot of time to think about things that I want and things that I absolutely do not want.

Nope! Getting married October 26, 2013 and have so much planned already! We have our ceremony and reception site (at the same place and a lot of October 2013 was already booked!), DJ, and photographer. Meeting with a wedding officiant this weekend. I'm glad I have so much done already! Not worried about stressing out about any of these things and feel being this prepared will help me enjoy everything that much more
