    congrats on picking a date, 3 years go by fast! 

    we got engaged in march (he called me and told me to picka date) and we started researching stuff and thinking about budget/savings. 

    now? there are only 3 years and 3 days left! 3 months have gone by! so you will be fine!

    My FI and I are currently engaged to-be-engaged, lol.

    The only reason for this is because at the moment he can not afford to buy me an engagement ring that I see fit (he was engaged before several years ago so I told him I don't care how much my ring is as long as it is twice the size of his ex) I know it sounds awful but I'm 24 and this is my first engagement and definiitely my only.

    So once I have my bling bling I will officially be engaged, but in the mean time we are planning a wedding for 2013. =)

    We will be engaged for 2 1/2 years when we get married. We're both teachers (well, I'm in school to become a teacher) so we HAD to have a summer wedding. We originally thought we'd get married in 2013, but I decided I didn't want us to live off only one income our first year of marriage. I'm glad we're having a long engagement because we've just now started talking about a date/location/etc. I know that in June places book up fast, so itll be nice to have time to look at all our options without feeling rushed :)

    I got engaged on Feburary 29th of this year. We aren't getting married intil July 10, 2014. Were having a 2 year 4 1/2 month engagement. The reason for this is because we had previously decided to get married on July 10 which is my Nana's birthday and she passed away in 2006. I don't want to budge on July 10. My dad and extended family live in MA while I live in FL. Having it in 2012 was just too soon for us so we didn't want to have it this year. Having it in 2013 would be tough for my dad because he already has to come down here for my sister's wedding in January and my brother's high school graduation in June. After looking at those things it just made the most sense to get married July 10, 2014.
