The ring was FI's grandmothers. It was custom made for her. The center ring is her original engagement ring with the stones given to her by her aunt. The jacket was a later addition. I get the whole monster ring as my e-ring! I love it!

FI left the guard that was soldered on when he gave it to me. We've since had it taken off so that I can get a wedding ring.

This is mine! It was my husband's grandmothers from the 1950s. It's very, very shiny and sparkly and thank god we didn't have to pick anything out because I doubt it would have been nearly as perfect as this one is, lol. Grandpa had great taste

I read through literally all 50-some pages of the previous post and I'm soooo excited to be able to post my own! I love it - I picked it out with my fiancé online but he didn't let me see the real thing til the proposal - even though I was staying at his place the week before and KNEW it was somewhere in the house! But I love it even more on my hand than I did on the site and it's more comfortable than any other jewelry I've ever had. He just proposed on Saturday (technically it's Monday right now, but only by a few minutes, so I'm still in day-after shock) and I cannot peel my eyes off this thing! 
 

A trio of princess-cut diamonds with teensy diamonds along the rest of the band....It's soooooo pretty and sparkles like crazy, especially in lower light which I don't even understand, but that fact alone made it hard to fall asleep last night!! it feels so natural to have it on! Love it!

The center diamond is my mom's who passed away 2 years ago. The band is rosegold and it is custom made...needless to say I am head over heels for it...and my fiance

married 7/16/2011.  engagment and wedding ring, I haven't got a band for it yet.  it would have to be custom made, and I'm just a little lazy!

the ring was given to my dad when I was born by my great-great uncle.  it was his wife's.  my dad kept it in a safe until the right time.  I love the family connections and heritage behind it.

we got engaged October 27, 2011 in Las Vegas. my ring is 43 diamonds, .76 total carat round cut centre stone with a double halo and my band will be pavé 3/4 of the way around. 67 more days until I can wear both!
