AAHH!!!

Hello everyone...Hope all is well. I need help & advice and I don't know who or where to ask Frown
Okay here I go........we got married in June 2006, but it was just me and my husband. We didn't have a reception, I didn't wear a wedding gown, he didn't wear a tuxedo, no wedding cake...nothing! We said that for our 5 year wedding anniversary we would renew our vows and have our reception. Next year is our 5 year anniversary.
So, here is where I just don't know what to do...even though we're already married, can I still wear a wedding dress?
Can we get a wedding cake?
Can we have a best man/ maid of honor?
Who marries us again?
Does someone walk me down the aisle?
When I read up on renewal of vows they make it seem kind of casual....but I feel like I didn't have a real wedding so I think that's why I want to really do everything.
I'm sorry if this is a long post but I'm confused, I don't know what to do...i don't want to overdo anything!!!      Thanks for any feedback!!!

I think you should do whatever you want. if you want to wear a wedding dress, wear a wedding dress. same for the cake and vow renewal and everyting else involved. i think its perfectly acceptable to go as big or little as you want.

congrats on making it 5 years and as stressful as all the wedding planning can be, its such a great experience :)

You can do whatever you want! You can have a little party of 10 or a party with 500 people! You can have cake, MOH, BMs, your dad walk you down the aisle, etc. If that is what you've always wanted...do it! Just make sure your guests know (which I'm sure everyone already does) that it is a vow renewal and not the real marriage. As far as "who marries us again?" you just tell your minister or who ever will marry you to perform a vow renewal ceremony.

    Happy planning!

    Ditto PP!
I was even thinking that if you had a close friend or family member you wanted to "marry" you, you could do that too since you're already legally married. :)
