Hi girls,
Since I haven't posted in awhile, I thought I would share some checks I acomplished last weekend. While my fiance and my parents were in town, we did our food tasting and picked our menu including the cake! It was soo much fun...tried about 6 cake flavors, 5 fillings and 2 different buttercreams. We decided on almond pound cake with alternating layers of chocolate ganache (which was heavenly) and rasberry filling, with italian buttercream. Fiance was a true guy and scraped his plate during all the courses which included 10 different appetizers and 4 mini entrees. I was hoping to do a duo plate to eliminate the need for a choice and headcount, marking place cards, etc but we ended up choosing 2 entrees- a seared chicken breast with orzo, and beef short ribs (which were Ryan's fav dish) whch is served with lamb and potatoes.
The other big accomplishment was deciding on the tuxes..he and my dad looked so handsome my mom started crying!
Of course I brought my camera and took pics at both places. The chef got a kick out of being asked to join our photo!
Lastly, this weekend I do my b-pics which I'm really excited about. I'm a little bummed since I won't be in town to watch the Fl-Alabama game with my sweetie and his friends, but oh well.
