Pcola brides...whacha workin on???

Hello!!!! So I haven't been on this side of the board in a lil while and I wanted to know what all you girls were working on?

I am trying to get qoutes for florist. I saw 3 and only heard back from 2. I went to Fiore, kabloom and Just judy's. I am getting my table runners from a fellow knottie and they should be in in the next week or two.

I have also been trying to find a job since now I am a RN!  other than that I Have been spending time with my Kitten!

Right now FI and I are just working our part-time jobs for extra money to cover deposits for videographer, caterer, photographer, and photo booth. I plan to complete hotel blocks this weekend since we will be at the 1 year mark. That's about it.

How do you like Kabloom & Fiore? I'm thinking of contacting them for our flowers. How are they as far as customer service and pricing? I went to the place next the Bridal Suite and sat down with the lady told her what I was looking for and never received an e-mail that was promised with a quote so they are off my list.

Thats how Kabloom was for me, i was in there for over an hour and I LOVED the guy but he never e-mailed me back. I even called and the lady said he would e-mail it to me as soon as possiible. well this is over a month ago. I am not going to bother bc i dont want someone like that to be in charge of the flowers on our wedding day.

Fiore and Just Judy's were great. The pricing was similar. I got an e-mail with their qoute within a week.

Thanks for that information. My manager actually recommmended Fiore because they did his wedding in October of last year so I will definitely keep them on my list and scratch Kabloom. Thanks!

    Hey There Ladies

I'm actually getting ready to meet a florist, Kebbie Hollingsworth  (www.khfloral.com) Thursday of this week to discuss ideas for my ceremony, rehearsal dinner, and reception. She's meeting me at the reception site as well - so sweet of her! I'm also in the midst of trying to figure out which restaurant to have my rehearsal dinner and have 1 of 2 houses on Pensacola Beach to check out for the ceremony. Other than that, looking to mail out STD in the next month or two. Happy Planning!

Well I have picked our wedding/reception  place. We will have it at the Barkley house! We looked at Fiore and The Floral Rose. The floral rose was a little cheaper and she seemed to not be so swamped with orders as others did. we were goona do all our food ourselves and have a big southern bbq, but i dont know if i want the stress of that, because besides the flowers we will be doing everything else ourselves.  We have a VERY STRICT BUDGET!! were is everyone else using for food??

still working on a reception venue....
I love the idea of doing southern BBQ or Southern "Comfort food" (i.e. mashed potatos and fried chicken,e.t.c.). Does anyone have any ideas on good but reasonably priced companys who would catter this type of food in p'cola?

    Oh and florists....
