I posted vendor reviews a few days ago, but I completely forgot to review our officiant.
We had Matt Nathanson as our officiant from 1st Officiant. He gets and A++! Our friends and family were extremely impressed with the ceremony and how Matt performed it. They thought he was one of our best friends when actually we had only met Matt when we hired him. We met with him for about an hour. In that hour's time, he gathered enough information about us as a couple and how we met. We instantly liked his charisma and how he had several samples of ceremonies that we could pick and choose various parts to make the ceremony our own. After we signed our paperwork to reserve him for our date, he sent us an email asking us to answer some questions separately about each other. He used the answers we gave to incoorporate into the ceremony, which made it sound so much more personalized. He even let us totally customize our ceremony and add elements we liked from a Buddhist-type ceremony. In my opinion, I think Matt's price was a little expensive for an officiant (but after asking around, he was right around the same or cheaper than other officiants in the area), but my husband told me afterwards that he was worth every penny! Matt even mailed us a printed copy of our ceremony a few days after we got married as a keepsake.
