Place for nails in East Valley?

I really want to test out a few different options for nails before the wedding day...  but the salon I go normally for my hair and stuff is soooo spendy for nail stuff, I want to find somewhere more reasonable.   South part of Chandler or GIlbert preferable, but if it's worth it, I'll go pretty far from home.  LOL

Anywhere I can get acrylic and gel nails done for like $35 or $40 that does good work?   Anyone get theirs done regularly that has a great place?    Or have any opinions on which option is better?  Also, just how bad/expensive (time between, costs?) are they to upkeep if you have them all the time?

I've only ever had one regular manicure done, so I don't know a whole lot about these things.

I go to Warner Nails at Alma School and Warner in Chandler.  Ask for Tina.  She doesn't speak alot of English, but does a great job!  And you can't beat the price.

I get shellac nails done and it is SOOOOOOO much better then acrylic and gel nails!!  I will never go back.  Search for a salon near you.  I go to one in Scottsdale..which may be out of where you want to go.  Let me know if you want my nail lady's number!  But seriously....shellac nails is the way to go!

The shellac manicure is what I have schedule for the wedding right now at my regular salon, but that is only with your natural nails right?

My nail beds are uneven, so some of my nails grow in curved.  That's why I'm looking at other options.

Yes it is, but after two times of getting it done, I was wanting to get them trimmed down big time because no matter what, they grow out really nice. I've been doing it since I got engaged and they are awesome because you never have to worry about the chipping or messing them up.  I would try it before getting the others because the others will mess them up even more.  Shellac is just nail polish, so it doesn't take a toll on your nails like the rest does.  My nails would be torn up for months when I used to get fake nails and gel done.

I don't have any issues with them growing though...  my nails grow out and get long just fine,  but they are curved, so they don't look good anyway when they're longer.

I understand exactly what it is...  which is why I know that it won't help my nails look any better.  LOL

It's not my actual nails that are the issue... it's my nail beds, which can't be changed, or made any worse.   I'll deal with having my nails be a bit damaged for a few months for them to look great on my wedding and honeymoon.

Not sure for gel or shellac but a regular manicure is $10.  Pedi is $25.  I see ladies getting gels and shellacs done all the time however, and its looks like they do a great job.
