Gifts for Shower Hosts?

Hi Ladies - I'm torn as to what I should do. First, are you giving your hosts gifts? If you are, what are you giving them.Second, I know there was an idea for a shower gift floating around here. Like a box with necessties saying, "Thanks for helping with my shower, I hope this helps with your next shower". Anyone know what the deatils were?Thanks!

I gave out Crane Stationary sets that matched each of my hostess personality.

Our first shower was thrown by my grandma and 5 of my aunts.  Shower gifts aren't very big in my family.  So I got them each corsages and a card with a nice note written in it and I had small flower arrangements sent to their houses.   I also got corsages for both of our moms.  Our second shower was thrown by best man's mom (MIL's BFF).  The morning of the shower we had a huge flower arrangement delivered.  She loved it and put it in the center of the table.  She said it lasted for almost two weeks.  We also gave her a thank you card written by both DH and myself.

For my first shower (thrown by my MIL) I got a large Slatkin candle from Bath and Body works and some lotions.  I used to work their so I got a good deal and she LOVES that stuff.  For my second, I got my sister a gift card to Potterybarn as she was redecorating her living room.  She loved it and went to pick up a few new things the next day!

I'm planning on doing personalized stationery or notepad for the shower given by all of my aunts. I think it's practical and a nice thing. It can also be customized to different personalities, which I like.

I had 5 shower hostesses and 3 other helpers.  I gave all 8 of them a bar of soap from LUSH and attached a note that said "I hope this makes your next shower as nice as you made ours.  Love, Karen and Greg" and a jar with Lindt truffles in it. I got the 5 hostesses a corsage for that day.  Also, I gave my grandma and FMIL a reed diffuser.  I have my mom and 2 aunts a bottle of wine.My mom, 2 aunts, FMIL and grandmother were the hosts/split the cost.  My 2 sisters and my cousin did a lot of work.  I also wrote each of them a TY note.

Ours was thrown by FI's two aunts and FMIL. I gave them each a tea set--teacup with saucer and golden spoon--that I got from a German gift shop (they're half German half Irish). The aunts got identical ones and FMIL got a different one. They're really pretty.
