Ultimate Bridal Gown Shopping Experience!

Question for all the bride to be's does anyone know of a place to go for bridal gowns and bridemaid dresses that will be like the ultimate experience. So what I mean is they will give you one on one attention, champagne and will make the bride feel awesome like the shows on tv! I live in one of the west suburbs in Illinois iAurora. So maybe near me or anywhere in Chicago. Please let me know and hopefully a place where its not to pricey! Thanks in advance.

I would try checking your local board, unless you're wanting to go to Kleinfeld's or something like that in NY.

Honestly, I felt like I had more one on one attention at the little mom and pop shops than I did at the big fancy stores. Plus, the mom and pop shops were much more affordable.

If you're going to a store that's giving away champagne, I can place a good bet that it's going to be pricey. I mean, they do have to recoup the cost of that free glass of champagne some how ;)

I have never heard of them offering champagne. Actually, you weren't allowed to have any liquids near the  dresses in my experiece. Kleinfelds was fun, but I was really concerned about price and paying the sales tax wasn't worth that much tulle. lol. Could you take a trip to the city? Perhaps ask the ladies in your local board.

I've heard little shops are good for that, and most places you go will have you work with a consultant who will help find dresses for you to try on. However, if you expect pampering and extras, expect to pay top dollar for the dress.

  • I suggest Bella Bianca in Oakbrook.  The dress selection was great and the staff was phenomenol.  Very helpful, but not pushy.  The salon was great too: it was clean and modern.  Best of all, they did give us champagne when I said yes to the dress! It was a fun way to celebrate.
  • I also agree with Bella Bianca in Oak brook. But I seriously doubt any place is going to let to drink champagne while yuo try on dresses.

I bought my dress at Bellla Bianca and they gave us ONE glass after we bought the dress.

If you want a Say Yes to the dress experience, there are pelnty of place downtown (Belle Vie, Vera Wang, Ultimate Bride) but there dreses start around 5k.

If it's champagne you're after, Weddings 826 in Chicago gives you and your ladies champagne while you shop.  But, they don't have the largest selection of dresses so it may not be the best place to go -- check and see what designers they carry versus what you're looking for.
  • I also agree with Weddings 826. I haven't been there yet but have heard wonderful things about them!
  • We went to buy some pastries from Tipsy cake.  Let me tell you...OVER PRICED!
