Irish/Italian Wedding - Venue Help!

Hello!

I am planning a wedding for June 2013.  I am Irish, and my fiance is Italian.  I would really like to honor his traditions of getting married in a Roman Catholic church, and having a huge wedding feast. (Anti Pasta, Soup, Pasta, Salad, Entree, Cake, Gelato, Sweets Table, Coffee).  I would like an Italian Banquet hall with good food or a banquet hall that knows how to cater to Italian meals.

Here is what I found so far: Venutis, Abbington, and Alta Villa.

I am also considering Stonegate, Cotillian and Meridian.

There will also be a lot of out of towners, so being close to hotels is a must!

Any help is appreciated! Thanks!!

There is also Galleria Marchetti, Spiaggia's, Quartino's,  Salvatore's, Monastero's Ristorante,   Maggiano's, and Biaggi's.  They aren't necessarily all banquet halls, but all are set up for wedding events.

  • My venue is Venuti's very very good food. My family is Italian so I understand.  If you have it there you can use Indian Lakes resort in Bloomingdale they run your guest to and from the venuti and they do not charge you any extra for it.  that is what we are doing.  I hope this helps.

We are having our reception at Biagio Banquets on Chicago's northwest side. GREAT food and atmostphere, and the wedding planner is wonderful to work with.
