So I'm getting married next month (May 22) in Chicago, and I went in for a hair trial last week with the same stylist who has cut my hair the past two years, and mystifyingly she suddenly cut a bunch of weird layers into my hair and then announced it was too thin for her to get a wave or curl into. Her solution: We should just cut it REALLY SHORT, and I could wear it straight.
WHAT?!!
I'm not too panicked about the layers because my hair grows really fast and, although it's pretty short (above the shoulders), it's still long enough that I think if I get a haircut a week or two before the wedding, we can pretty well cover the damage.
But I do want a second opinion on the hair-to-thin-to-curl diagnosis, because I've never really had a problem curling my hair; I just assume a professional can do a far better job of it than I can. And I need to find a new stylist for my wedding!
Who's doing your hair? Any recommendations for stylists? I'm just looking for some tousled waves or soft curls, and I'm hoping not to spend much more than $100. Let me know! And thanks in advance!
