So, we just decided to change our west side beach wedding to the south side becasue the beach we wanted did not have good access for my FI's grandmother. I need suggestions for a restarant on the southside thats not one of the regular/hotel fancy restarants but still appropriate for a after wedding dinner with 7 people. Has anyone been to 808 bistro? Just looking for decent atmoshpere and good food and overall nice place.
Re: South Side Restaurant Suggestions- Hidden Gems
[QUOTE]I haven't eaten at 808 Bistro, but I've been there. It's next to a sandwich shop and is in a building that makes me think of a burger joint. Which beach on south side are you getting married at? How far are you willing to drive? What kind of food are you looking for?

I think we will be doing Palaua beach (white rock). I dont mind driving, we are staying in West Maui so if we had to drive I'd prefer to drive back towards where we are staying. I'm open to any type of food. Just trying to avoid the 40.00 an entree places!
So what price per plate do you feel comfortable with? Most places we ate at were in the $30-$35 range, which is not too far off, but it starts getting more expensive than that we you add a salad and drinks. What you're not comfortable with? Is there a max per plate?
Gannon's is delicious and has a few options under $40 (at a golf course).
5 Palms has a 3 course sunset menu for $30 that is available for 5 and 5:30 pm seatings (at a hotel).
