Maui Wedding Reviews!

I thought I would write a quick review to pay if forward :-)

Maui Precious Weddings: A+++
Deanne was awesome to work with and works with qulity vendors. I pusrchased the Gardenia Package and was not disappointed. She always responded within a day and was flexible. She coordinated the ceremony wonderfully and calmed my nerves. She also exceeded expectations with my bouquet. It was even more beautiful in person. Perfect!

Marbelle Photography: A+++
Wonderful! She made us feel at ease and was good at directing us in a way that made everything easy and natural. Very happy.

Kapalua Beach: A+++
So beautiful. We were lucky it was not even windy during the ceremony or sunset. <3 It was the perfect beach since we had our reception at Merriman's. The Sunset was amazing and there were not very many people on the beach. 2 other weddings took place at the same time, but we were no where near each other, so it worked out.

Merriman's: A+++++++
This place exceeded my expectations. First of all, the pictures do the place NO justice. Second of all, the food was exquisite. We rented the cabana for 13 of us and it was so initimate and perfect. The wind picked up as it grew dark and they secured the sides of the cabana without obstructing the view. We were protected from the wind, while the wedding on the lanai actually had to move farther inside the restaurant.
The service was outstanding. Very attentive and well coordinated. Everyone LOVED the food and started sharing the entrees so everyone could try. I cannot wait to go back. :-)

Karine Cummings- Hair/Make Up: A++ Very reasonably priced and she was fabulous! She brought a partner Cherie who also did an awesome job. Would definitely recommend.

Maui Wedding Cakes: B
The cake tasted good, but was not big enough even though I let them know that we would not be having additional dessert - I chose the size based on their recommendation and it was a bit too small.

There is a quick rundown. I know I am forgetting people, so I will add more later.  Hope it helps!

Re: Maui Wedding Reviews!

  • pardon all my typos, I was typing this fast at work and not paying attention. oops!
  • Thank you so much! I was waiting for your reviews on the cake and your hair so thank you! So what did you think about taste of cake and which type did you get? Also, with your hair...did you show her pics the day of what you wanted? Thanks again!!
  • I actually liked the taste of the cake! I had a small 2 tier cake: 1st tier was white with lilikoi and cream filling; 2nd tier was chocolate with raspberry and cream filling. Everyone loved the cake!

    As for hair: I did not have a picture - I did tell her what I preferred (soft up do) and she just went to town and it was awesome. She is REALLY good. Make up was also fantastic. My sister, mom and friend loved their looks also. One small thing: she never mentioned she wanted cash rather than a check, so I had to scramble to get to the ATM downstairs. Just a heads up.
  • Thank you! I think I'll order cake from her! I love some of her designs. Are you going to post wedding pics? I'd love to see your hair! Did you do air brush make up and fake lashes? I will have cash! Thanks for letting me know.
  • Thanks for the reviews! I am in desperate need for someone tondo mu hair. Do you have the contact got Karine?
  • Congratulations! So glad everything went so well for you. We may just have to have dinner at Merriman's.
  • Tnaks for the reviews!  I'm looking forward to working with Marbelle at my wedding in TWO weeks!
  • Karine Cummings info: 808-669-5354 and www.bridalhaironmaui.com - I found her most responsive over the phone.

    One last thing - it was awesome to have the beach wedding on a small beautiful beach right next to the restaurant for the reception. My guests were able to park in one spot, attend the ceremony and just walk up some steps to Merriman's and have drinks and appetizers while we finished up photos. I had no idea how convenient it was before we got there! lol

    And it was SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper to do a beach ceremony, rather than a venue - especially if you have a smaller guest count.
  • Hi,
    My husband and I are planning our vow renewal for later this year and plan to use Merrimans cabana for our dinner reception, but would like to keep costs down by doing an informal beach renewal ceremony. It sounds like you did the same? Who did you use for your ceremony? Was it just on Kapalua Beach? And guests parked at Merrimans?
    Thanks for your input!!
    Pam
