rehearsal dinner venue (oahu) recommendations

Hi ladies!

Even though I grew up in Honolulu, I am having a hard time thinking of places to host our rehearsal dinner!!! 

With a large bridal party (6 GM + 6 BM + their significant others) and a number of international family members... we need to host about 50 people for rehearsal dinner (which makes me think that planning the RD is like planning a mini wedding!!!!). 

I thought about doing a beach BBQ or something during the day, then have the rehearsal (it's scheduled for 6pm)... but I'm one of those super super super super pastey people who burn just looking out a sunny window!! HA

Any thoughts/suggestions would be very appreciated!!!

We had our rehearsal dinner at tiki's grill, it worked out well for our group of about 30. We had it on the lanai around sunset and it wasn't too hot at all. There was a band playing though so it was a bit noisy.

Sparkle: what kind of food did they serve?  Did you like it?

If you have the budget, a luau could be fun.

We had ours at the Aloha Tower, at Gordon Biersch. We did a variety of appetizers & provided beer & wine. Had a little over 30 people. We were out on the Lanai & they had live jazz music starting towards the end of our meal which was nice. We were able to watch the sunset...it was perfect for us.
