Help!!

Our wedding was a few weeks ago and most everything went very smoothly, except... the guest book. The day of a few people mentioned to me that they saw the "cute" book but hadn't signed it yet. When we got back from our min-moon a couple days later I opened the book and it was completely EMPTY!! I spent so much time on this thing and I don't want to just throw it away. My thought was to include a card in our thank you cards, similar to the response cards, with a stamped envelope that we can then tape into the book. Is this tacky/stupid/annoying? Does anyone have any better ideas? I also am not sure what to say on the card to explain what we want people to do. A lot of our guests came from California, Florida and even Germany so its not like I can just have them sign it the next time I see them. Please help!! Thank you!!

Sorry to hear that about your book L.   I think mailing the cards is a cute idea, but I am having a huge issue getting my RSVP’s back so with my group I know I wouldn’t get but maybe 10 back which is hardly worth the effort. I went to a couple’s home recently and they had a quest book. When ever they had family from far away or unique people over for dinner they asked them to sign it. Maybe as time goes by you could accumulate the signatures… just an idea. GL

That stinks... sorry to hear that. Maybe you could have people sign their names or write messages on your wedding website (or other) and then cut them out and paste them in the book? People might be more apt to do it if it's easy and doesn't take much time or a stamp. It would be easy to send an evite out asking people to do that.. just a thought.

Thanks for the ideas girls. We made up a blank sheet and a little note asking people to send us their wishes along with a stamped, self addressed envelope. We are going to send it to people that are far away that we probably won't see for a few years. It has delayed our thank yous by a few days, but I'm not willing to give up on this guest book. I'm determined!! We will just bring it along with us to family and friend functions for the next few months. What a headache!!
