Hawaii Resorts for Weddings?

I'm helping my brother-in-law and his girlfriend to plan their wedding. I used the Knot when I got married and loved it!!!!  They are looking at Mexico, Florida and Hawaii to get married.  Do you guys know of any resorts in Hawaii (I don't care which island) that helps with all the wedding planning and has some good packages?

A popular resort on the Big Island is the Hilton Waikoloa Village. Just get in contact with their coordinator through their website. I  think their prices are reasonable compared to the Kona resorts like Hauna Prince Beach Hotel or the Fairmont Orchid. They have fancier settings but cost $$$.

It really depends on their budget and what they mean by "good packages".  Almost all of the larger resorts will have this available, and they have a range of packages depending on if the wedding is just the 2 of them, lots of guests, or somewhere in between.

Do you happen to know what they're looking for?  Beach?  Lawn?  Indoor / outdoor dining?  Buffet?  Gourmet plated?  Entire event on the resort site?

We worked with the Marriott Wailea (Maui) and they were phenomenal but didn't end up hosting either the ceremony nor reception there.  We also met with folks at the Four Seasons who seemed very on top of things (but out of our price range).  The Grand Wailea's service, at least in our initial visit, felt flaky and haughty.  The Westin Kaanapali Villas had a great team, but we didn't get enough into the process to know how their full service was -- that property tends to have a ton of children, FYI.

That's all I know from personal experience.

We've booked our wedding with the Hyatt Regency Resort and Spa on Maui.  They have several packages available but we opted to use our own outside wedding coordinator (PerfectWeddingMaui) and create an a la carte wedding.  We are still in the process of deciding where to hold our reception although the Hyatt does offer several options for that as well.  Our experience so far has been good but the coordinator from the Hyatt does take a few days to respond.

They have several ceremony sites available and their reception prices start at $150min/pp for food and drink.

When we checked into resort package weddings we found our WC was able to provide the same exact itemsfor at least $750 less

I hate to see it but they are looking for cheap, ie: VERY AFFORDABLE.  It'll only be 15 of us (guests) and it's a simple wedding, they don't care bearch or terrace.

Look at Mauna Lani Bay Resort on the Big Island.  Pinkie Crowe, wedding coordinator, will really work with you to see if you two can create your perfect wedding within your budget.  She was most helpful in giving me wonderful room rates for our guests for less total rooms than the normal contract.  I also didn't get an inclusive package and arranged the photographer on my own at a cheaper cost than listed in the package.  Hawaii is so beautiful many flowers are not necessary; the florist that does the Mauna Lani Bay and Fairmont Orchid weddings will also work with you to get what you want within your budget.  We had a poolside reception but many people do a small dinner reception at the resort restaraunt which is very good.
