Engagement Photo Session Location

Newbie here,

I'm about to book my engagement photo session on Oahu. We picked one location on one of the windward beaches but can't decide on another location. We're transplants to the island, so we never really had a "first date" here, therefore we don't really have ideas for  "places of meaning".

Do you have any suggestions or where did you ladies take your e-sessions at?

thanks!

Kualoa Regional Park would be a good spot, with Chinamans Hat in the background. Kualoa Ranch would be a beautiful place too, but I think they may charge a fee. Makapu'u I think would be lovely as well, with the lighthouse in background, a lot of people do weddings here on the lava rock. Or Waimanalo beach would be cool too.
We haven't done our engagement pics yet, but those are the areas that I'm leaning towards for ours.
I found a fun site the other day while searching for ideas for poses and such, maybe you'll get some ideas too:

Welcome to the board, and congratulations!  What do you have in mind for your photos?  Ocean views?  Mountains?  More commercialized streets?  I think if you already have one beach location, then something really different could be fun.  If you have an activity that DH and you love, you could consider that, too.  I saw a cute e-Session where the couple was just cooking in their kitchen together.  Another where they were riding a bike, etc.   Maybe you could do some kayaking or surfing photos (if you do those things)?

Finally, brainstorm with your photog.  They will have lots of suggestions based on prior experience.  Good luck!
