When you purchase a permit for a beach wedding does that reserve the space on the beach for you??

How do we ensure no one else uses the portion of beach we are planning on using?
Thanks!

It doesn't, if you have a wedding coordinator she or he will go there to claim a pot for you.  Else someone else will have to go ahead and do that for you.  It is first come first serve.

Yep, Cryssv is correct.  Getting a permit does not reserve a space for you, it just gives you the permission to use it.  I would suggest having someone stake out the space you desire and try to get people to clear out for a wedding.  Most people will understand and gladly get out of the way.

We will be having our ceremony on a public beach and purchasing the permit does not guarantee a portion of the beach. You do have to have a beach permit to have the ceremony and to take pictures, so our wedding planner will be purchasing the permit for us (the cost is $20). There is no way to know how many beach permits were sold for a specific beach, on a specific day, you just have to hope for the best. You have to be aware of the fact that there might be other weddings going on at the same time, but from what we heard, people are respectful. There are also no chairs or decorations allowed on public beaches. Tossing orchid heads are okay though. Hope this helps.

You can't reserve a spot, and really, you can't keep people moving around your area either. That's the price you pay for using public property!Tongue out
