July 2012 Weddings

e-picture advice please

I'm very excited that we have scheduled our e-pictures for two weeks from today in Baltimore (where FI and I met and where our wedding will be). Now I'm trying to brainstorm location ideas. It's a bit tricky because it's December, so it'll be cold, but it's unlikely that we would have snow on the ground and very possible that it'll look very gray... not the prettiest backdrop for photos. I want to try for some outside photos anyway, but I think we need an inside option for whatever we choose.

The two options I've thought of so far are:
1. Do outside photos on the harbor and then do some inside photos at the downtown Whole Foods. The WFs is in an old converted factory, so has interesting architecture (lofted ceilings, exposed bricks, etc.). I've seen some cute e-pics of couples doing grocery shopping that came out pretty cute.
2. Do photos on our college campus, which looks like a typical college and not super exciting, but is where FI and I met and fell in love, so has some personal significance to us. For inside photos, we could go one of the new lecture halls that has pretty new entry ways with marble staircases, etc.

If anyone has other ideas for indoor e-pic locations or thoughts on my ideas, please share. Thanks!

  • I like both of your ideas. I think you should do both!

  • Both are great ideas, but I like option 2 a bit more.. just because it's a location that has special meaning to you both. I would probably do outside photos at the harbor and then college campus photos. Good luck girl! Keep us posted :)
  • I really like your first idea of taking your e-pic's around the harbor. The aquarium is fun as well as the Spirit of Baltimore,it is kind of a long cruise but has great views of the whole harbor. Hope this helps and your location is great I love it there.

  • If it's gray outside- it'd make for great black & white photos!! I like both options, maybe you could do both? I love the college option though since it has more significant meaning to it. I'm sure there are some great areas on campus for pictures!

  • Option 2--I like when E-pics have special significance, like a location in the relationship or something you like to do together

  • Thanks girls! The Hopkins campus is actually about a 30 minute drive from the harbor, so that's why it's an either/or kind of thing. I'll keep you all posted with what we decide and how they turn out!

  • Ohh I see! Well in that case, I still go for the campus lol. The way I see it is a college campus will allow for outdoor and indoor pics you know?
  • If you have to choose between the harbor and campus, I would say the campus because of its personal significance to you. But the harbor is such a neat place. The aquarium is a good option. The Baltimore aquarium is awesome! And also, I'm kind of obsessed with the Barnes and Noble down there, too, what with it's twisty spiral staircase and all the fish tanks. So, if you're book lovers, that would be an option if they allow it!

  • I definitely vote for the campus! I love the Baltimor Harbor but what if it's crappy weather that day?  At least if you do it at the campus you have the option of getting both indoor and outdoor as well as it having significance to you :) Best of luck.
