NWR: Baby Shower

My brother and his wife are having a baby shower this saturday. I dont know anything about babies, this will be the first one in the family! What would be a good gift for new parents?! They did register but I guess I dont know what is a "need" or a "want" or which route I should go. What do ya think? Do you get something totally practical or something fun?

This is what I did for my cousin's bridal shower. I got an outfit for each month from birth to year 2.

Another thing you can do is a towel tower. It looks like a cake but with towels for the baby, wash clothes.

I would also look on their registry just to get an idea of what they want then you can go from there.

I usually do both.  I do something practical from their gift registry and then include a fun outfit or toy.
