Cost for flowers

I'm meeting a florist on Friday to discuss ideas and pricing. What have you girls paid or plan to pay for flowers? I basically need bouquets for me and 4 bridesmaids, boutonnieres for groom and 4 groomsmen and 2 Dads, then 3 corsages. I might need another arrangement for like guest book table, but that's really it. I'm hoping around $300ish??

Depends on where you go. My florist gave me an amazing price. I have heard only good things about her, so if your appt doesn't work out on Friday, her business is Originals by Beck. Google her.

This! I am also using her and love it- so far soo good! We were quoted about $320 initially, but are adding more centerpieces for the reception so I don't know what our final bill will be, but the $300 you were quoted seems very reasonable to me.

It completely depends on the florist-but more importantly on what FLOWERS you want.  Certain types of flowers (peonies, hydrangeas, orchids) are going to cost a lot more than others.  It might also be the difference between Des Moines and Minneapolis, but I thought $300 was a bit on the low side

Based on the research I did, I would say that these are the average prices ranges for wedding flowers, and then what I'm paying.

Bridal Bouquets: $75-$150  (I'm paying $175 for dutch blue hydrangeas, cymbidum orchids, calla lilies, and white roses)

Bridesmaid Bouquets: $25-$60  (I'm paying $40/ea for a simple bouquet of white calla lilies with blue rhinestone sprays in the center)

Bouttonieres: $5-$10  (I'm paying $8/ea for a single calla lily wrapped with greenery)

Corsages: $8-$15 (I'm paying $10 for single pin on white cymbidium orchid)

Total for bridal bouquet, 4 BM bouquets, 3 bouttonieres, 6 corsages - $445
**we saved over $100 by not having my FI, groomsmen, ushers wear bouttonieres-just dads and my bro who is doing a reading**

    HTH!

Her name is Becky Rosenberger 967-7568. She is old-school. No e-mail or website. She said "I don't even know how to turn on a computer" when we were talking. :)
