Minnesota-Minneapolis and St. Paul

New here!

Hello!

I just got engaged this weekend and I thought I'd introduce myself.  My fiancee and I are both teachers in Southern Minnesota, but we will be getting married at his home church in Minneapolis.  We are hoping to have an August 2012 wedding, so I know we will have to make some quick decisions.

One venue we were discussing this weekend is Pinstripes in Edina.  Does anyone have any information about this venue?

Nice to meet you all!

Re: New here!

  • I'd go there on any given night for bowling and drinks, not so sure about actually having a wedding there. It gets REALLY loud in there, and I know their wedding packages are pricey too. IMHO, you'd have to have a larger guest list to make it worth the money (like 250-300 guests) and space.

I'll be getting married at Centennial Lakes Park which is right next to Pinstripes. They allow you to bring in your own vendors with exception to the beverage provider. Centennial does book up really quickly, but I think it'd be worth looking into.

  • Thanks for the recommendation!  Centennial Lakes is definitely my first choice, but my parents did some scouting around yesterday and found out that although their space is BEAUTIFUL, it's not great for live music, which is something my fiance really wants.  So they wandered over to Pinstripes and they were talking that up to me over the phone.  I've never been there, so I'm trying to keep an open mind :)
  • Welcome!

I am from Southern MN too. Let me know if you need any reccommendations for the area. :)  We also got married in the cities.
  • Make sure to become a VIB (Very Important Bride) member at ForeverTV.com and you'll get instant discounts with their vendors once you become a member.  It's free to join and Pinstripes is actually one of the vendors that offers you a discount!
  • I don't have any info on Pinstripes, but I wanted to say welcome and congrats!
  • Welcome and congrats! You should come introduce yourself on the August 2012 boards too. :)
  • Hello Emily!

I'm new here as wella nd am planning a rather quick wedding as well. We got engaged on the 17th too & are planning everything for July 7th. I'd be happy to pass along any info/tips and tricks when I find any!
