K & G Fashion Superstore for Suits, any experiences? (Suit PSA as well)

I've been in the midst of a stressful search for a grey suit and today came across K & G, they have suits 2 for $200 or 2 for $150!  Or they have other ones like Perry Ellis and Calvin Klein for about $150 each I want to say.  They have dress shirts-2 for $40, ties are around $15-$20, except we'll have to get elsewhere as they don't have skinny ties.  Alterations in house, only $8 for the pant hem.

I think it's a hell of a deal and am stoked I found it!  Granted the cheaper ones may not be the best quality suits on the planet, but to pay probably less than what a tux rental costs or the same, depending on which one we go with, who cares.  They don't have to wear the thing again if they don't want to, but I think they look just as nice as some of the other more expensive ones I've seen.

Anywho, anyone ever used them?

DH has bought all of his suits there, and has had good experiences. Though we have found that the one in Roseviile is the best. He's always just gotten the $99 specials when he needs a new suit for work, but he decided he was going to go somewhere "nicer" to spend a little more on a better suit for our wedding. We looked around, and he couldn't really find much he liked w/out paying more than what he wanted. So we ended up at K&G where he got a Ralph Lauren suit for $250ish, I think. It looked really good!

Side note; the first time he spent more than $99 on a suit, he put a huge hole in the knee of his pants. His fault though; he was teaching all the kids at our reception how to "power slide" on the dance floor. Cool

Oh, also, if you were thinking for your GM, I agree - it's much better to have them spend $99 on a black suit that they can easily wear again, even if it is kind of "meh" than spend that amount or more on a tux that they'll rent once. Plus the suit will be fitted to them much better than a rental tux.

@tptender - Thanks for the response! I'm so glad I got one! Yeah we are looking for all our GM's and FI. That was my thing too about how they fit, I just think suits can fit soooo much better, granted all the guys don't need to get a ton of alterations if they don't want to, but my FI will get as much as he needs done so it fits him well, wheras a tux you can't do that.

The other thing for us, is I want grey suits and grey tux rental is few and far between, however, I did find a grey tux in Vegas that is actually pretty nice, but I still think I want to go the suit route if all works out at K & G, for fitting purposes, pluse FI needs a suit as he doesn't have one. I think we'll get him one a little more expensive than the others, maybe even in a different color grey so he stands out some.

The Brooklyn Center one is literally like 5 minutes from us so we'll probably use that one, as all of the guys are from the northern suburbs so this one is just closer, hopefully it will be fine.

Sucky on the hole in the suit, but funny on the power slide:)

Did your groosmen get suits from there too for the wedding??

Also, I was in Men's Wearhouse today and they are owned by the same company which I did not know!

Does he get his alterations done there or off site?

Do you have a picture you could post of your hubby in the suit?  TIA!
