I've been waiting for this post all week!

My favorite toy is the Hitachi Magic Wand. Bullets w/a remote are really nice too, but I'd had batteries die in the middle of business three or four times, and decided to get something that plugged in. It was a little awkward at first since it was kinda heavy, but I love it! DH just got me a silicone attachment for it for Valentine's Day, and it's nice to have something that's washable and has some texture for it.

If anyone is looking for a place to shop/look, I HIGHLY recommend The Smitten Kitten on Lyndale in Minneapolis. The people are helpful w/out being creepy in the least bit, and DH even felt comfortable going there by himself to get my Valentine's present. I'd share a link but I don't want to go looking for it while I'm at work.

Target actually has a decent selection. We usually just end up buying it w/groceries or whatever when we realize we're out. It's been on the list before, like "Milk, eggs, bread, lube, potatoes, cereal..."

I'm glad my story brought amusement and secretly I was hoping for a hot fireman to come "rescue us" but no go!

FI's former roommate had a girl tell him - mid foreplay "Well thats not going to fit, cya" haha! I guess its good to an extent. Sadly we don't have that problem without embarrassing him and getting into detail, we have the opposite and are limited with want we can do for the other reason. I don't mind because he can work it  but he is senstive about it.


Does anyone else FI hate condoms? Mine does - we are each others first and we started with double the protection for a couple times and now FI hates wearing them. He use to treat me by wearing the ribbed ones - which I highly recommend for those that FI will wear them -- however, not any more.

My FI hates condoms too, and to be honest, so do I. I don't mind certain ribbed kinds, but over all I just don't like them.

Yep- FI HATES condoms so much that he would rather not do it than use them!

Neither of us really care for them. We'll use them if we have to, but we've been monogomas... monogomous... sleeping with only each other for over 7 years. And I'm on the pill. And, you know, we're married now...

I just remembered going to a toy party when we'd only been together less than a year. He said something along the lines of making it clear that he didn't mind if I bought something. "I understand that I can't make homeboy spin at 450 RPMs, so go ahead and buy what you want." It still makes me giggle to think about it!

We just started using some fun stuff spice things up! We gor arousal cream from pure romance that works great, and also just like me from pure romance, we just got that one in the mail, so we haven't tried it yet, but everyone that I know that's used it loves it!

3. Condoms suck.  But having a baby right now would suck more, so we're stuck using them. (I had to go off the pill a few months ago, due to my migraines.)

Don't you hate it when they forget about those things that hurt so badly? I find certain times of the month there are positions that I can't go anywhere near because I don't like feeling impaled! It does make him beam with pride though... boys!

For good online sources for toys we have also used Adam & Eve. They are really affordable. Pure Romance has a pretty basic selection of things. We have tried a few different things I always seem to go back to simple small massager that can be strategically placed.

lol - DH's "homeboy" gets referred to as Weather.  It started because he came over one night when it was storming like crazy and he decided he didnt' want to go out to see the movie we planned on.  I called him a weather weenie and then got the giggles saying I was going to call "homeboy" weather.  It stuck.  Although it is amazing what you can get away with talking about in public with a nickname like that.  For instance, a co-worker once said something about how I looked sleepy one morning. I sorta smiled and said that the weather kept me up all night.  0:-)

I understand that. My FI has always ordered the stuff. So far we have not had any issues with Adam & Eve.

I LOVE TMI Tuesday!! Steph you totally read my mind with the topic. 

I really like c*ck rings, and so does FI haha.  We also have a We Vibe.....LOVE THAT THING!  FI was my first and only but he loves that I like trying all this stuff!

I'm also on the condoms suck group but since I'm on BCP we've stopped using them.

His nickname for his stuff is "Thomas Senior" instead of junior hahahaha he's so hilarious.

Oh, I'm so late to the party... but this is a seriously hilarious and enlightening thread.

DH and I apparently need to ramp up our use of toys and tools ;-) Besides the occasional specialty KY... we haven't really ventured out.

I totally understand the whole hating condoms thing. DH and I were doubling up with both condoms and BCP for the longest time before we finally decided to trust my BCP... and it was fantastic. Then, I had a change in insurance and had difficulty getting my BCP Rx switched. Now, I'm going to have to just go in to a new doctor for a new Rx. I'll be glad to, though, because seriously... most condoms just start to feel really uncomfortable after a while, regardless of how much lube you use.

On a slightly more practical note, does anyone have any recommendations for BCP? I used to use the Nuvaring, and liked it... but stopped for reasons a little TOO TMI. More recently, I took standard Ortho-Cyclen and it just made me kind of crampy and crabby. I'm tempted to try that new one, Beyaz. I like the concept of the whole pre-natal vitamin addition to make the transition to baby-making a little easier. Not that I have any immediate plans for baby-making, but it just sounds prudent, no?

I was on the previous version of beyaz before they pulled it off the market and hated it.  Every person is going to respond differently but it made me a weepy sobby mess and I am NEVER like that. It also made me skip periods entirely but spot for the 3 weeks I was on real pills which sent me into a freakout sobby weepy tailspin thinking I was pregnant.  It was awful.  I called my Nurse practitioner to tell her I wanted off... now... and she told me that the side effects I was describing were not ones that anyone else had ever reported and that it must be something else.  I fired her and changed clinics.  Pretty sure she was getting kickbacks to have people on it.

Witty- I had a similar experience with my previous doctor when I was on NuvaRing (when it first came out a few years ago.) It was AWFUL. I know everyone responds differently to different hormonal birth control.  But c'mon. I go on NuvaRing, and my hormones get all screwed up. I was dizzy, etc.  I go off two months later and I'm back to normal.  Sorry, but I think I'm going to blame the Nuva Ring.

My doctor told me "those aren't normal side effects. It must be placebo." i.e. she accused me of making it all up.  

Anyway.... I've been on a few different kinds of BCP over the years (I went on BC when I was 15 due to my migraines and horrible cramps.)  I was on Tri-Sprintec most of the time, and that worked best.  I switched to.... (I'm blanking on the name right now)... at the end. It was a steady dose each week so I could skip my period.
